The Marian Catholic boys basketball team used a 7-0 run midway through the fourth quarter and Tyler Ulis hit all of his six fourth-quarter free throws as the Spartans beat Joliet West 49-44 in a nonconference game on Tuesday.
Ulis finished with 21 points as Marian (6-1) won its fourth straight.
Josh Cohn hit three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points and four rebounds. Kevin Phillips and John Oliver also finished with four rebounds.
T.F. North 77, Eisenhower 70: Nick Wood's 21 points led the Meteors (3-0, 2-0 South Suburban Blue) to the road win over the Cardinals.
Danye Coleman had 16 points and D.J. Deere added 10.
Seton Academy 78, St. Francis de Sales 61: Five players scored in double figures as the Sting (4-3) the Pioneers in Catholic League action.
Christopher Seaton had 13 points, while Mark Weems Jr. had 12. Alex Foster, Armahn Mooring and Johnny Patterson had 10 points each for the Sting (4-4).
The Pioneers (1-5) were led by Tyler Streater's 15 points. Rontez Allan-Shabazz had 12 and Raashood Fenner added 11,
St. Anne 68, Illinois Lutheran 61: Nack Newson's 26 points led the Chargers (5-2, 1-1) in the River Valley Conference loss.
Colln Borns had 12 and Austin Wood added 10.
Girls Basketball
Richards 48, T.F. South 40: Kaitlin Togtman's 11 points paced the Rebels (1-4, 1-1 South Suburban Blue) in the loss.
Rich East 69, Thornton 51: Kierra Reed had 11 points and Jordan Brassel had 10, but the Wildcats (3-2) fell to the Rockets.
Boys Bowling
T.F. North 1,765, Oak Forest 1,727: Javon Brown's 412 series and 234 high game led the Meteors past the Bengals in a South Suburban Blue match.
Trevond Scott had a 365 and Juan Gutierrez a 351.
T.F. South 3,063, Reavis 2,813: Justin Abston's 273 game was tops for the Rebels in their win over the Rams.
Girls Bowling
T.F. South 1,506, Shepard 1,319: Shannon Pollard's 335 high game led the Rebels to the win.
Kayla Garcia had a 322.
