Lauren Parker's 13 points helped Times No. 2 Homewood-Flossmoor to a 49-33 win Tuesday over No. 4 Bloom Township in girls basketball.
Amena Brent chipped in 13 rebounds to join her eight points for H-F (5-2).
The Blazing Trojans led 9-7 after one quarter, but H-F took a 22-13 halftime lead. It expanded the lead to 38-25 after three quarters.
Bloom's Bria Gaines led all scorers with 16 points, and Katherine Strong had 11. The Blazing Trojans are 3-3.
Riverside-Brookfield 54, Illiana Christian 41: The Vikings (2-4, 0-1) fell in the Metro Suburban Conference opener.
Boys Basketball
Seton Academy 101, Morton 55: Damone Goodloe's 15 points and 10 rebonds led the No. 4 Sting (6-0) past the Governors.
Girls Bowling
T.F. South 1,310, Argo 1,267: Shannon Pollard's score of 306 and Natalie Pascual's 284 led the Rebels past the Argonauts.
Pollard had a 186 game.
Boys Bowling
Shepard 2,024, T.F. North 1,901: Javon's Brown had a 390 series, but the Meteors fell to the Astros at Castaways.
Paul Bomba had a 385 series for North (2-2).
