Crown Point had previously had one volleyball player in recent history named to the North All-Star team.
After tryouts over the weekend, the Bulldogs added three seniors and a junior to that list.
Seniors Meagan Fajman, Abby Kvachkoff and Courtney Covaciu were all named to the Class 4A team and setter Alyssa Kvarta was tabbed for the Class 4A junior team.
The All-Star match will be played Sunday at Perry Meridian.
Munster 146, Hobart 39: The Mustangs won every event, including Mary Beth Blocher's 200 free (1 minute, 57.18 seconds).
Hobart's Kaylee Gubricky won the 50 free (26.06).
LaPorte 96, Wheeler 78: Times No. 10 Wheeler won eight events Tuesday night, but visiting LaPorte used its depth for a girls swimming victory.
Lauren McQuarters won the 100-yard backstroke and 500 free for the Slicers.
Bearcats sophomore Rachel Metzger won the 200 free and 100 fly, while freshman teammate Gabi Gilliana won the 200 individual medley and 100 breast.
Crown Point 55, Andrean 31: Abby Kvachkoff paced the Bulldogs with 18 points in a rout of the 59ers. Katija Tarailo (12) and Hannah Albrecht (10) capped the Bulldogs double-figure scoring effort.
Brenna Boyle led the 59ers with 11 points.
Lake Station 37, Gavit 18: Desiree Parrillo led the Eagles (2-1) with 13 points in the rout. Lake Station outscored Gavit 15-2 in the third quarter to cruise to the win.
Shanika Thornton led the Gladiators with seven points.
Griffith 26, Wheeler 24: Talia Roldan had four of her game-high 11 points in a 11-4 third-quarter run, as the visiting Panthers edged the Bearcats.
Shannon Eden had 10 points for Wheeler.
Lowel 40, Hebron 31: Sarah Wieser had team highs of 14 points, six steals and four assists to lead the visiting Red Devils past the Hawks. Amy Fraiken added eight points and 10 rebounds, while teammate Sydney Barta had two points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
Lauren Carlson led Hebron with nine points.
Chesterton 64, Bowman Academy 38: Caroline Puntillo scored a game-high 26 points, helping the host Trojans defeat the Eagles. Jocelyn Lipscomb added 18 points.
Briana Joiner led Bowman with 12 points.
Portage 46, E.C. Central 31: Kaitlyn Steers had a team-high 17 points as the Indians (2-0) defeated the Cardinals. Alexis Johnson added 12 points.
Tickets for Class 3A semistate on sale: Tickets for Friday's West Lafayette at Andrean Class 3A semistate game will go on sale at 7:30 a.m. today in the Andrean main office.
Tickets are $8 each and can be purchased through Friday in the main office during the normal school day and in the cafeteria during all three lunches.
Valparaiso boys scrimmage Thursday: Valparaiso will scrimmage Highland at 6 p.m. Thursday. Donations for the food pantry will be taken.
Local girls nominated for IBCA/Subway Players of the Week: Rachel Cantwell (Boone Grove), Hunter Jusevitch (Lowell), Nicole Konieczny (LaPorte), Abby Kvachkoff (Crown Point), Caroline Puntillo (Chesterton), Gina Rubino (Lake Central) Aleysha Slaven (Highland) and Brooke Sterkowitz (Hanover Central) were local nominees for the IBCA/Subway Player of the Week. Kindell Fincher (Fort Wayne Canterbury), Brittany Ward (Indianapolis Pike) and Whitney Williamson (Brown County) were the winners.
