Nick Thompson had game highs of 16 points and four assists Tuesday, leading Times No. 7 Highland to a 62-56 boys basketball win over Wheeler.
Tyler Scheidt added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Trojans. Tyler Brankin had 11 points, including three 3-pointers.
Kyle Horan led the Bearcats with 13 points. Peyton Kostbade and Cameron Morton each scored 11.
Crown Point 65, Kankakee Valley 41: Sam Decker had 12 points to help the Bulldogs defeat the Kougars.
Matt Hanlon added 11 points.
Jason Grace scored a game-high 18 points for Kankakee Valley, while William Bonilla had 12.
LaPorte 66, Lowell 62: Garrot Ott Large scored 20 points to lead the Slicers over the Red Devils.
Carson Crass added 14 points for LaPorte, while Carlos Jenkins had 10.
Kouts 40, Hobart 31: The Brickies were held to four fourth-quarter points as Kouts sped ahead of a 27-27 third-quarter tie.
Sadie Leatherman scored 26 for Kouts (7-7) and pulled down 12 rebounds. Kouts out-shot the Brickies at the free-throw line 28-6.
Paige Nestich paced Hobart (1-12) with eight points.
South Central 65, Westville 62, OT: Skyler Wildfong had team highs of 16 points and seven rebounds to lead the Satellites over the Blackhawks in Porter County Confernece play.
Sarah Smoker added 14 points, while Faith Biggs had 12 for South Central.
Nicole Albers had game highs of 24 points and five steals for the Blackhawks. Morgan Shreves had a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Sarah Weston had 10 points and two assists.
Crown Point 37, Hobart 26: Jacob Carter (106 pounds), Jake Burford (138), Noah Lamore (152) and Michael Foster (285) each won by pin to lead the Bulldogs over the Brickies.
Nathan Schammert (120) and Drake Recio (195) won by pin for Hobart. Zack Fattore (170) won by technical fall.
Boone Grove 45, Knox 30: Mac Magiera (126), Carson Hinkel (132), Branden Hill (145) and Cory Kreiter (170) won their matches by pin, leading the Wolves over the Redskins.
Boone Grove also won two matches by forfeit.

Valpo to hold Athletic Hall of Fame Induction: On Jan. 20, the Valparaiso High School Athletic Hall of Fame will have an induction ceremony at the Old Town Banquet Center in Valparaiso.
This year's inductees include: Three families (Anselm, Butterfield, O'Neill), four coaches (John Cook, Terry Cox, John Knauff, Lorrie Woycik) and 10 individuals (Jim Arnold, Rob Cavanaugh, Erik Chilian, Micky Mannel-Copeland, Mike Jones, David Knott, Angie Cook-Moon, Joe Otis, Brett Polizotto, Pete Sattler).
There are about 250 tickets left and the last day to buy tickets will be Jan. 10. Tickets cost $35 and are available at the athletic office and will also be sold at all girls' and boys' home basketball games.
