Caitlin Leath had a team-high 15 points and eight rebounds as Times No. 10 Hobart cruised past Washington Township 59-29 in girls basketball action Tuesday night.
Morgan Flaharty and Autumn Beal each added 10 points for the Brickies (2-0).
Heather Burton drained five 3-pointers for a game-high 20 points to lead the Senators (0-1).
Morton 47, Calumet 17: The Governors (1-1) got 16 points from Keonna Baldwin and used great defense over the final three quarters, holding the Warriors (0-3) to nine points in that stretch.
Oregon-Davis 88, Westville 29: Beth Piotrowski had a team-high 11 points, but the Bobcats (2-0) defeated the Blackhawks (0-4).
Crown Point 45, Andrean 37: The Bulldogs defense held Andrean to two points in the third quarter, pulling away from a 25-21 halftime deficit.
Sarah Rivich came off the bench to score 10 points and lead Crown Point (1-1).
Lauren Stazinski had 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds for Andrean. Brenna Boyle grabbed 11 rebounds, 10 of those offensive, for the 59ers (0-2).
Bishop Noll 72, Clark 25: Naomi House's 25 points led the Warriors (1-1) to the win over the Pioneers (0-2).
Brenda Pennington had 18 and Marissa Radziwiecki added nine.
Dulce Garcia led Clark with five points.
Girls Swimming
Kankakee Valley 99.5, Lowell 74.5: Madison Babicka won the 50 and 500 free as well as swam legs on the victorious 200 medley and 400 free relay teams in the Kougars' victory.
Mikki Wood (100 back, 200 IM) and Hailey Stender (200 free, 100 fly) each won two events for the Red Devils.
Highland 138, Griffith 32: Jackie Smailis (200 free, 100 back), Jesenia Zendejas (200 IM, 500 free) and Jordan Galovich (50 free, 100 free) each won two individual events as the the Trojans routed the Panthers.
Griffith's Shannon Kunka won diving.
Girls Volleyball
Lasky to sign with VU today: Valparaiso High School setter Tarrah Lasky will sign her national letter of intent with Valparaiso University today. Lasky was an All-Duneland Athletic Conference selection this season. She helped the Vikings win a Class 4A sectional title.
