Ashley Norberg chipped in 16 points, while Bethany Jansma added 13 for K.V.
Brooke Sterkowitz led the Wildcats with 19 points.
South Newton 36, North Newton 23: Kylie Duhammel led the Spartans with eight points, but the Rebels eased to the win.
Portage 51, South Central 46: Kaitlin Doud scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Indians (5-3) over the Satellites (1-4). Portage outscored S.C. 22-12 in the fourth quarter.
Riley Popplewell led South Central with 13 points and eight rebounds. Jill Rosenbaum added 12 points.
Kouts 50, Westville 17: Jayla Crump scored all of her game-high 22 points in the first half as the Fillies (4-3, 1-1) cruised past the Blackhawks (0-7, 0-4) in Porter County Conference play. Megan Heinold added 10 points.
Morgan Township 51, Whiting 45: Trina Coleman had team highs of 17 points, six rebounds, five steals and four assists to lead the Cherokees (7-3) over the Oilers. Kameron Stanko added 11 points, while Brianna Leuck scored 10.
Whiting’s Citlali Lopez scored a game-high 22 points.
Wheeler 54, Marquette Catholic 15: Sierra Slaydon scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Bearcats over the Blazers in Greater South Shore Conference play. Allie Stevenson added 10.
D’aria Kincaid scored 13 points for Marquette.
Victory Christian Academy 45, Families of Faith 40: Callie Klingbeil had a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Lions to the win. Maria Reisinger added 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
Chesterton's Puntillo earns honor: Chesterton's Caroline Puntillo has been named girls District 1 IBCA/Subway Player of the Week.
The senior guard had 27 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and four assists in a 64-37 win over E.C. Central. She scored 21 points, hitting 12-of-14 free throws, in a 58-51 Duneland Athletic Conference win over Michigan City.

Diver Tom Nelson picked up Michigan City’s lone victory.
Crown Point 104, Valparaiso 82: Joey Karczewski won the 200 free and 100 fly to lead the No. 4 Bulldogs over the No. 6 Vikings in DAC action.
Andrew Antonetti won the 200 IM and 400 free for Valpo.
Portage 120, LaPorte 65: Mikee Janes (100 and 200 free) and Matt Extin (200 IM, 100 breast) each won two individual events to lead the No. 5 Indians over the Slicers in DAC action.
LaPorte’s Alexander Nunn won both the 100 fly and 400 free.
Chesterton 146, Michigan City 40: Eight swimmers won individual events for the No. 3 Trojans en route to a DAC win over the No. 8 Wolves.
Diver Allison Ormsby picked up the lone win for Michigan City.
Crown Point 125, Valparaiso 61: Hannah Kukurugya (200 IM, 100 fly), Racheal Bukowski (50 and 100 free) and MacKenzie Artim (200 and 400 free0 each won two individual events to lead the No. 1 Bulldogs over the No. 5 Vikings.
Diver Taylor McBride picked up Valpo’s lone win.
Portage 112, LaPorte 71: Courtney Joseph won both the 200 IM and 100 fly to lead the No. 7 Indians over the No. 10 Slicers in DAC action.
LaPorte’s Lauren McQuarters (200 free, 100 back) and Erin Pickford (50 and 100 free) each had two individual wins.
