However, Marian Catholic fell to 1-1 on the season without a win in the doubles matches.
T.F. South 5, Rich Central 0: The Rebels improved to 2-0 with the sweep. Lisa Alexander and Brianna Walker gutted out the win at No. 2 doubles with a 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (7-2) victory.
Thornwood 19-27-25, Rich Central 25-25-19: Brieanna Holmes recorded five kills and Charnice Lipscomb made seven digs as the Thunderbirds stormed back in the second game to win the match.
Bishop Noll 15-25-25-25, Gavit 25-16-15-14: Asya Hobbs made 16 kills and eight blocks to help pace the Warriors (1-0). Carissa Jones added 11 kills and Emily Johnson had 22 assists with three aces for Noll.
Beecher 182, Crete-Monee 203, Grant Park 209: Michael Barber shot a 37 for the Bobcats in the three-team match at Cardinal Creek.
Billy Swalisch recorded a 48 for Crete-Monee.
