WEDNESDAY'S ILLINOIS PREP ROUNDUP: Woods leads Thornridge to boys basketball win
Antonio Woods had 18 points and Ryan Burch had 15 to lead the Thornridge boys basketball team to a 57-42 SouthWest Suburban Red win over Lincoln-Way North on Wednesday.
Evan McDowell had 11 points for the Falcons (10-11, 5-5).
Seton Academy 92, Bishop McNamara 69: Mark Weems' 24 points led the Class 2A No. 1 and Times No. 2 Sting (20-4, 8-0) to the Catholic South win.
J.R. Tolliver had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Girls Basketball
Marian Catholic 79, Nazareth Academy 52: Megan Walsh's double-double led the No. 2 Spartans (18-11, 6-2) to the East Suburban Catholic Conference win over the Roadrunners.
Walsh had 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Ashton Millender had 22 points. Teniya Page had six points and 10 assists.
Oak Forest 50, T.F. South 45: The No. 5 Rebels (14-8, 10-3) got off to a slow start and came up short in their regular-season finale.
Oak Forest took a 23-11 halftime lead and the Rebels had to play catch-up.
Teosha Rolling led the Rebels with 14 points and three steals. Ninah Bertrand had six points, four assists and three steals. Jessica Majors had 10 points.
Girls Indoor Track and Field
Thornwood 73, T.F. North 43: Thornwood's Ashley Robinson and Kori Wallace won two individual events each to lead the host Thunderbirds past the Meteors.
Robinson won the 60-yard high hurdles (9.22 seconds) and 60 low hurdles (9.12). Wallace took first in the long jump (14 feet, 10 inches) and triple jump (32-6).
T.F. North's Latika Brown won the 50 (6.18) and 300 (40.79). Teammate Julianne Adegroriolo won the 880 (2:50.90) and mile (6:36.75).
