Behind wins on the floor and vault, Chesterton's Jordan Bush took the all-around title as the Trojans topped Lake Central 113.950-101.325 in a gymnastics meet on Tuesday.

Bush had scores of 9.775 on the floor and 9.60 on the vault.

Mia Pak was the winner on the bars (9.7) and finished third in the all-around. Sophie Hunzelman was first on the beam, second on the bars and floor and third in the vault to become the all-around runner-up.

Whiting 57, Gavit 54: The Oilers outscored Gavit 19-6 in the third quarter, erasing a 31-22 halftime deficit in the win.

Whiting picked up 20 points from G'Angelo Reillo, 16 from Diante Marshall and Frank Senteno added 13.

George Tucker III's 20 led Gavit as Kevin Shelton chipped in 14.

Gavit outscored Whiting 20-9 in the second quarter to jump ahead by halftime.

Kankakee Valley 98 1/2, Morton 75 1/2: Cameron Edwards won the 200-yard and 100 freestyle events as K.V. captured the tuneup meet before next week's sectional.

Edwards also swam the anchor on the team's winning 200 free relay.

Matt Lottich to speak at Calumet Sportsmanship Dinner: Valparaiso University men's basketball coach Matt Lottich will be the keynote speaker at the 64th annual Sportsmanship Dinner.

The dinner, slated for 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 19, will be held at the Halls of St. George in Schererville and will bring together the boys basketball players at the schools participating in five of the Region's sectionals.
