Aly Tetzloff and Joey Karczewski each won two individual events, helping Crown Point's girls and boys swimming teams sweep Lake Central in Duneland Athletic Conference action Wednesday night.
Tetzloff won the 100-yard fly (55.07) and the 100 free (53.18) to lead the Times No. 1 Bulldogs past the No. 4 Indians 119-67.
Kallie Higgins picked up Lake Central's only win in diving (224.80).
Karczewski won the 100 fly (52.06) and 100 back (54.85) to help the No. 4 Bulldogs edge the No. 3 Indians 95-80.
Josh Barajas won the 200 IM (2:00.49) and the 500 free (5:01.24) for L.C.
Crown Point 48, Valparaiso 14: Riley Akers (126 pounds), Josh Fuqua (138) and Denton Schurg (145) won by fall to lead the Bulldogs over the host Vikings in a DAC dual.
Ian Suttles (285) won by pin for Valparaiso.
Portage 48, Lake Central 16: Portage won seven matches by pin, including Matt Hendricks’ fall in 1:21 at 195 pounds, to defeat Lake Central in DAC action.
Lake Central’s Gelen Robinson won by pin at 220.
Chesterton 43, LaPorte 17: Luke Zelinika (145 pounds), Sawyer Hallas (160) and Dan Cutter (195) each won by pin to lead the Trojans over the Slicers in DAC action.
LaPorte’s Landon Blackburn (285) won by pin.
E.C. Central 48, Morton 32: Tiajaney Hawkins led the Cardinals with 19 points in a win over the Governors.
Stefani Holmes paced Morton with 10 points.
Lake Station 44, North Newton 28: Ashlinn Jorgensen had a game-high 19 points to lead the Eagles over the Spartans in the Greater South Shore Conference Tournament.
Merrillville 70, Hobart 34: Victoria Gaines poured in 21 points to pace the Pirates over the Brickies, who were held to single-digit scoring in all but the second quarter.
Grayce Roach accounted for more than half of Hobart's offense, scoring 18 points.
Hobart 53, Clark 30: The Brickies came to life with a 22-point third quarter to defeat Clark. Juan Lamar's 13 points led Hobart.
Kalil Frith paced the Pioneers with 11 points.
Lake Station 76, North Newton 34: A 22-4 opening quarter powered the Eagles (8-3) past the Spartans (1-7) as Kyle Gooch pumped in 20 points. Brian Patterson added 16, Mark Novakovich 14 and Ben Neals 12.
