Evan Zondor paced the Trojans with a 37, while John Kelley carded a 39.
Highland 171, Hobart 207: Tayler Peters fired a 39 to lead the Trojans past the Brickies in a Northwest Crossroads Conference win.
Hobart's Robert Eberle carded a 47.
Valparaiso 145, Portage 161, LaPorte 164: Kyle Meihofer and Bobby Jacobs shared medalist honors with matching 1-over-par 35s as the No. 1 Vikings (7-0, 2-0) won a Duneland Athletic Conference triangular at Robbinhurst. Jordan Henson had a 39 for the host No. 9 Indians (5-3, 1-1), while David Lehman led the Slicers (4-3, 0-2) with a 38.
Whiting 220, Bishop Noll 236: Jake Jacobson carded a 49 for the Oilers in the Greater South Shore Conference win.
John Mitchell shot a 54 for Bishop Noll.
Crown Point 14, LaPorte 0 (5 inn.): The No. 3 Bulldogs (5-2, 4-1) jumped on LaPorte in DAC play with a balanced attack, as Miranda Elish and Courtney Holm drove in four runs
Lake Central 10, Valparaiso 0 (5 inn.): The No. 2 Indians (12-5, 4-1) went on an early offensive onslaught in DAC action scoring eight runs in the first two innings.
Liz Seymour and Abbie Rauch each drove in two runs for Lake Central.
Megan Krantz hit a double for the Vikings (7-5, 2-3).
Westville 4, Washington Township 2: Sisters Katie and Beth Piotrowski each had two RBIs as the Blackhawks rallied past the Senators. Beth Piotrowski, who was 2-for-3, also picked up the complete-game win. Katie Piotrowski also had a double.
Whiting 2, Wheeler 0: Mollie Lovasko blasted a two-run home run to give herself all the offense she needed from the pitcher's circle in a Greater South Shore Conference win.
Nickole Finch struck out 13 batters in the tough-luck loss for the No. 9 Bearcats.
Portage 18, Merrillville 0 (5 inn.): The No. 4 Indians erupted for 14 runs in the fourth inning to defeat the Pirates in DAC play. Kaitlin Doud tossed a one-hitter with six strikeouts and was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored; Kiley Jones was 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, three RBIs and Haley Hodges was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs.
Hebron 1, Boone Grove 0: Maggie Lindeman tossed a three-hitter with seven strikeouts to pick up the Porter County Conference win for the Hawks. Shelby Yankauskas was 2-for-3 with the game's lone RBI.
Kennedy Starcevich was 2-for-2 with a double for the Wolves. Amanda Hawrot allowed just four hits and had five strikeouts, but still picked up the loss.
Chesterton 9, LaPorte 2: Mitch Koblitz (3-0) scattered four hits and the visiting Trojans (7-4, 2-1) blew the game open with a six-run seventh inning to defeat the Slicers (5-8, 1-3) in DAC play. Mike Crowley was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs; Austin Vander Zanden was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, Aery Pratt was 3-for-3 with a double and Tyler Sufana had a triple.
Jake Benefiel had both of LaPorte’s RBIs.
Crown Point 13, Michigan City 3 (5 inn.): Zach Plesac drilled a grand slam and finished with five RBIs in the DAC win for the No. 2 Bulldogs (7-1, 4-0).
Noah Burkholder struck out eight batters in 4 2/3 innings to earn the win.
Lake Central 18, Merrillville 1: Ryan Burvan went 5-for-5 with a triple and a home run, driving in six runs for the Indians. Nick Kellams earned the win, striking out three in four innings.
Highland 11, Griffith 10: Alec Smith had Highland’s only extra-base hits, two doubles, but the Trojans used a one-out run in the seventh to beat the Panthers in NCC action.
Tyler Fraley and Kevin O’Donnell each drove in three runs for Highland. Brett Brinkley was 3-for-3 with three runs and an RBI for Griffith.
Whiting 12, Lake Station 0: Matt Dvorscak and Tom Hildebranksi drove in two runs each as the Oilers captured the GSSC win in five innings. Nick Filipek fanned nine in the complete-game victory.
Lake Station 4, Calumet 1: Calumet's Destiny Fleming got a win at No. 1 singles, but the Eagles swept the rest of the match.
Lake Station's Desiree Parrillo and Dana Reynaga recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
Munster 5, Lake Central 0: Jessica Rooth shut out Lake Central's Kate Toth 6-0, 6-0 in No. 1 singles, and the No. 1 Mustangs were able to sweep the match.
Chesterton 5, Portage 0: The No. 2 Trojans (4-0, 2-0) dropped just one game in singles play and swept the No. 8 Indians in DAC action. Meg Modesto (No. 1) and Margaret Shinn (No. 2) each won 6-0, 6-0.
Kankakee Valley 4, Hanover Central 1: Kaylyn Banaszak recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles to help the Wildcats to the nonconference win.
Hanover Central's Alex Palzfa and Diane Schwalm won 7-5, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.
Whiting 5, Wheeler 0: The Oilers No. 2 doubles team of Lauren Markovich and Alivia Jakubowski won 6-0, 6-0 to help their team sweep the Bearcats in Greater South Shore Conference action.
