Jimmy Ferry (132) and Jackson Bais (145) won by pin for Lake Central.

Chesterton 53, LaPorte 16: Brandon Bolin (106), Ryne Beckman (152), Cade Girgenti (182) and Lucas Davison (220) won by pin in the Trojans' DAC win over the Slicers.

Ian Nelson (113) won by pin for LaPorte.

Merrillville 78, Michigan City 3: Justin Setzer (126), Ahzsur Ursery (138), Elijah Sandridge (145), Aaron Griggs (152), Malik Hooker (160), Tyjonn Lockett (182), Dennis Watson (195), Brandon Streck (220) and Anthony Atria (285) won by fall for the Pirates in their DAC win over the Wolves.

Boys basketball

Munster 51, Michigan City 46: Tyler Zabrecky and Josh Davis each scored 14 points to lead the Mustangs (11-3) past the Wolves (4-10).

Alex Thomas led Michigan City with 16 points. Daijon Reddix added 12 points.

Hobart 62, Clark 45: The Brickies (8-6) drilled 10 3-pointers, including five from Connor Manjarrez, in a home win.

Manjarrez led Hobart with a game-high 21 points. Tyler Schultz knocked down a pair of 3s, scoring 13.

Darrell Reed had 14 for the Pioneers (2-10). Tristun Cano had a trio of 3s for his nine points.

Girls basketball

Merrillville 65, Hobart 23: Shelby Harmon posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Pirates (4-16).

Torri Miller led Merrillville with 15 points and three steals. Brittney Williams chipped in nine points.

Andrean 71, Lake Station 27: Julia Schutz scored 13 points for the 59ers (6-13) as they rolled to a win.

Natalie Figlio and Karli Miller each scored 11 points for Andrean.

Portage 57, Lighthouse 44: Alexis Switzer had 17 points for the victorious Indians (11-9).

Layla Melendez added 11 points and Kristen Cravens nine for Portage.

Chesterton 51, Bishop Noll 38: Courtney Krol scored a team-high 14 points and nabbed six steals for the Trojans (18-2).

Marney Sisson scored 12 for Chesterton. Sarah Dzierba had nine.

Courtney Blakely had 18 points to lead the Warriors (12-8). Paris Harris had 10 points and seven rebounds.

Girls swimming

Highland 97, Clark 48: Rachel Stange won the 100-yard butterly and 100 backstroke to lead the Trojans over the Pioneers.

Sarai Cabrales won the 200 and 500 freestyles for Clark.
