Boone Grove football fundraiser Friday
BOONE GROVE | Boone Grove's football program will conduct its second annual all-you-can-eat fish and chicken fry from 4:30-6 p.m. Friday at the high school. Prices are a $10 donation, $25 for a family, $8 for seniors and $15 for senior couples. The dinner takes place before the sixth annual School Safety Benefit Basketball game between Boone Grove faculty and the Porter County Sheriff Department, which starts at 6:30 p.m.
Creekside Golf Course holding lessons, demo day

Mountain bike/running series begins May 31
The Northern Indiana Mountain Bike Association and Outdoor Trail Commission will sponsor a series of events, beginning May 31 at Imagination Glen. Hunter Education Safety Course at Lemon Lake
CEDAR LAKE | The Hunter Education Safety Course will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Lemon Lake County Park, 6322 W. 133rd Ave. All hunters born after 1986 are required to attend both sessions and pass a written test. Creekside golf clinics available in March
VALPARAISO | Creekside Golf Course and Training Center will be the site for several golf clinics in March.
Four classes are available for the apprentice program: putting (Thursday), chipping (Friday), irons (March 18) and woods (March 19). The cost is $15 per class. Each class runs from 2 to 3 p.m.
Wednesday adult clinics run from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday (pitching), March 17 (course strategy), March 24 (uneven lies) and March 31 (irons on and off the tee). Cost is $15 per class.
Saturday clinics for adults and high-school age participants run from 3 to 4 p.m. March 13 (irons on and off the tee), March 20 (video analysis of full swing) and March 27 (putt and pitch). Cost is $15 per class.
Monday clinics for ladies run from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday (chipping and trajectory) and March 22 (understanding swing path and connective drills). Cost is $15 per class.
Junior 101 classes for ages 7-10 run from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday (woods and irons) and March 19 (work the bag).
First tee sessions run from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday and March 20. Spring break schedule runs from 1 to 3 p.m. March 22 through March 26. The cost is $20.
Range balls need to be purchased for all clinics.
