Hub Run course moves to the Crown Point square

CROWN POINT | The Hub Run 5K and 2K race has moved from the Lake County Fairgrounds to the streets of Crown Point with the starting and finishing line at the downtown courthouse. The race is May 16 with a starting time at 2 p.m. Entry fee is $16 for adults, and $8 for ages 8 and under or for additional family members. Price includes race shirt. Adult softball leagues forming in Crown Point

CROWN POINT | The Crown Point Parks Department Adult Softball Leagues are reserving spots for the 2010 season. The Men's League, which consists of "C" (Wednesday), "D" (Thursday) and "E" (Tuesday) divisions, costs $575 per team. The Coed League, which plays on Sunday nights, costs $460 per team. The Women's League, which plays on Monday nights, costs $460 per team. Deadline to register for all leagues is Monday. Teams must pay full amount or deposit $100 to secure a position. All fees must be paid in full by May 1.
