Atlantic City's loss on Friday was the region's gain.

Bellator Fighting Championships closes out its seventh season this week at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, and the nationally televised main card appears to be $100,000 richer.

Bellator 84, set for Friday, originally was scheduled to feature a pair of tournament finals in the heavyweight and lightweight divisions. Now it will add the featherweight tourney finals to the bill with a third $100,000 tournament title on the line.

Shahbulat Shamhalaev (11-1-1 MMA, 2-0 BFC) was scheduled to fight Rad Martinez (14-2 MMA, 4-0 BFC) this past Friday at Bellator 83 in New Jersey. But Shamhalaev was hit with a bout of food poisoning and wasn't able to compete, forcing the delay of the featherweight finals. Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney announced the rebooking for the Hammond card during Friday's telecast on MTV2.

Friday's MTV2-broadcast main card in Hammond now will feature the three tournament finals, plus a women's strawweight bout between Chicagoland's Felice Herrig and Patricia Vidonic.

The prelims will feature local talent, as well, as local standouts Kevin Nowaczyk, Christian Uflacker, Anthony Gomez and Louis Taylor all find themselves with fights on the card.

In the heavyweight tournament finals, Richard Hale meets Alexander Volkov for $100,000 in total tournament prize money and a shot at the heavyweight title. In the lightweight finals, Marcin Held battles Dave Jansen.

The event will be Bellator's third at The Venue and second during its current 12-card season. In March, Bellator 60 opened the tournament-based promotion's fifth season with a featherweight title fight. Earlier this fall, Bellator 75 featured four opening-round fights in the Season 7 heavyweight tournament.

The main card will air live on MTV2, and prelims stream for free at Bellator.com. But in January, the promotion moves its television deal from that cable network to the more prominent Spike TV.

Tickets for Bellator 84 are on sale at The Venue box office as well as through Ticketmaster.
