HAMMOND | The Kingsbridge Knights finished pool-play with a 3-1 record after Monday night's 9-4 win over East Boise, but will need a little help if they want to secure a bye in the single-elimination round.

George Valera and Gabriel Zambrana both homered; and Jemal Betances, Sammy De La Cruz, and Haroly Abreu all doubled for the Knights, who needed two losses from the Hammond Optimist Bulldogs to secure the National Division title and bye.

In the event of Hammond also finishing with a 3-1 record, the Bulldogs get the tie-breaker due to winning their previous pool-play matchup with the Knights.
