ST. JOHN | There are "Boys of Summer."

These guys were the "Boys of Fall."

As the weather outside was finally getting into season, the bats from the Diamond Kings Fall Indoor Hitting League tournament champions got hot as several league records were broken.

One was set by the NWI Shockers in the 9U/10U division. The team of John Bondi, Enrique Kinney, Justin Schassburger and division MVP Derrick Wiening broke a single-game scoring record of 91 points while edging the Warriors in the division tournament championship game.

The runner-up Warriors established a season 'Team Points' record when accumulating 431 points. Warriors players Logan Frazier, Chris Bachman and Carter Delich also set target-point records for the division, as did Wiening.

Other divisions tournament champions included the Cage Crushers (11U/12U), led by division MVP Nathan Hopkins, and the Legion of Doom (JH/HS), led by division MVP Aaron Furman.

The Diamond Kings Winter Indoor Hitting League will include 9U/10U, 11U/12U, 13U/14U and high school divisions. The eight-week league will begin Jan. 20 and include a league tournament for qualifying teams.

Teams will schedule their game times during a scheduling meeting at Diamond Kings the week before the league starts. Cost is $85 per player. Deadline to register a four-person team is Sunday.
