HAMMOND | The Crown Point Bulldogs homered three times but it was opportune small ball that helped them rid themselves of the stubborn Hawaii Saints while improving to 3-0 in pool play on Monday.

Marek Bauner and Nick Geisen led off the bottom of the first with back-to-back homers -- Geisen's second in two games. Jake Schalasky later homered in the second inning to give the Bulldogs a 4-0 lead.

The Saints came storming back as Makana Murashinge hit a two-run homer in the fourth before Honolulu rallied for three runs in the fifth to tie it 5-5.

Kyle Bauner's two-RBI single in the bottom half of the fifth capped a three-run rally for the Bulldogs.
