HAMMOND | Crown Point suffered its first loss of the tournament, losing 12-1 in four innings to South Lexington, Ky.

South Lexington (4-0) won the battle of unbeatens and earned a first-round bye when the single-elimination championship bracket starts today.

South Lexington already has three 10-run rule wins, and the latest one was for the American Division title.

Brendan Hord hit a grand slam, while Gavin Hord and Jacob Stamm also homered for South Lexington, who will play again at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alec Matalin homered for the Bulldogs (3-1), who will play the third-place National Division team at 8 p.m. today.
