HAMMOND | Grand Forks, N.D., punched its ticket to the single-elimination championship round with a nail-biting 8-7 win over Opp, Ala., which was also vying to reach the next level.

Parker Stroh and Will Eagleson both homered for Grand Forks, which will play Crown Point at 5:30 p.m. today for a chance to advance to the semifinals against National Division champion and WS host Hammond Optimist at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Lane Worley homered for the Bobcats, who were able to upset Hammond Optimist the night before. Opp was eliminated with a 1-3 pool-play record.
