HAMMOND | Maybe Grand Forks, N.D., ran into Kingsbridge, N.Y., at the wrong time.

After World Series host Hammond Optimist handed them their first loss all season Saturday, the Knights stormed back into the win column with a15-3 victory in four innings.

Kingsbridge hit five home runs in just three innings of at-bats, including two from Alfredo Delgado. George Valera was 3-for-3, including a grand slam. Patrick Dillon and Sammy De La Cruz had the other homers for Kingsbridge (2-1), which will play its final pool-play game against East Boise, Ida. at 5:30 p.m. today.

The Bombers rallied for three runs in the fourth, threatening to hold off the early stoppage. Winning pitcher Gabriel Zambrana managed to close the game with a pair of strikeouts, finishing with 10 overall.
