CROWN POINT | The Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2659 will hold its second annual Spc. Nicholas Idalski Scholarship Fund Golf Outing on Saturday at Pheasant Valley Golf Course. Tee times start at 10 a.m. The cost is $260 per foursome or $65 per person. There will be lunch at the course and dinner at the Eagles. Hole sponsorships are available for $100. Blackhawk Open Saturday

LAPORTE | The annual Blackhawk Open will take place at noon Saturday at Legacy Hills. The fee is $50 a golfer, $200 a foursome. Kouts outing Sunday at Sandy Pines

DEMOTTE | The 12th annual Kouts High School Athletic Department Golf Outing will be Sunday at Sandy Pines Golf Club. Registration will be at 11 a.m., lunch at 11:30 a.m. and golf at 1 p.m. A steak dinner and awards will follow golf. Cost is $70. Proceeds from the event will go the the Kouts athletic department. Patriot's Day Outing Sept. 4

VALPARAISO | The inaugural Patriot's Day Golf Outing will take place at 2 p.m. Sept. 4 at The Course at Aberdeen. Proceeds from the event go to Folds of Honor, which raises money for families of fallen military personnel in either the Iraq or Afghanistan campaigns. Junior Golf League at Cedar Creek

USW Scholarship outing Sept. 11

CROWN POINT | The USW/Leon Lynch Career Development Program will host the second annual Leon Lynch Learning Center Golf Outing on Sept. 11 at Summertree. All proceeds will go to the Tino Fulimeni Scholarship Fund, which helps children and grandchildren of steelworkers. DK Classic set for Sept. 11

VALPARAISO | The DK Classic golf outing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sept. 11 at Forest Park Golf Course. The event is a fundraiser for former Valpo athlete Darren Kahl, who suffered a spinal injury in 2008. Proceeds are used for rehabilitation expenses as well as supplies and adaptive equipment that help Kahl perform activities of daily living. Cost is $70 per golfer, which includes golf, cart, drinks and food. A silent auction with music and drinks will take place throughout the day in the clubhouse. Support the Shrine outing Sept. 16

SCHERERVILLE | The inaugural Golf Classic to benefit the Shrine of Christ's Passion will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at Briar Ridge Country Club. The outing will include three flights. Winners of each flight will receive their own large memory at The Shrine of Christ's Passion -- more than a $5,000 value -- as well as other prizes. Cost is $300 per player, which includes golf with cart, gourmet lunch and dinner, all beverages on and off the course, and premium gifts. Sign-ups continue for Porter Am

VALPARAISO | Sign-ups continue for the Porter Amateur, which will be played Sept. 17, 18, 24 and 25. Just added, the winner of the men's master division will receive an invitation to play in the 2012 Northern Amateur, which will be held at Sand Creek Country Club. Play is split between men's masters, men's open and ladies divisions, and parts of the tournament will be played at The Brassie, Forest Park, Sand Creek Country Club and Valparaiso Country Club.
