Harvey Boxing Club holding summer camp

HARVEY | The Restoration Ministries' Harvey Boxing Club, 15331 Broadway, is taking registration for its Summer Boxing Camp for boys and girls ages 8-18. Lansing Old Timers holding baseball tournament

LANSING | The Lansing Old Timers will host a baseball tournament for ages 8U, 9U and 11U from July 18 to July 23 at the Lansing Old Timers Complex, 16500 Chicago Ave. In-house all-star teams and part-time travel teams (less than 25 games together) are eligible -- no metro or full-time travel teams. Team fees are $350 through June 30, and $425 after.

The format will consist of three-game pool play plus championship. Basic Little League rules for Pee Wee, Minors and Major levels will be employed. Teams may have a maximum of 15 players. Birth certificates and proof of insurance required.

Northwest Indiana Junior Team Tennis starting Monday

NWI Junior Team Tennis will run from Monday through Aug. 11 starting at 6 p.m. on Mondays for 14-and-under players, and from Tuesday through Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays for high school-age players. League fee is $40 per player, payable to Lakeshore Tennis Association. Teams will consist of a minimum of three boys and three girls. MERRILLVILLE | Summer Tennis at Andrean High School is beginning this month. It will consist of a 10-and-under program where ages 5-8 will meet on Tuesdays from 3 to 4:15 p.m. from June 11 through Aug. 6, and ages 9-10 will meet on Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. from June 13 through Aug. 8. Ages 5-8 will use a 36-foot court with red felt balls with 75-percent less compression, and short racquets ranging from 19-, 21- and 23-inch length; ages 9-10 will use a 60-foot court with orange felt balls with with 50-percent less compression, and short 23- and 25-inch racquets. Cost is $75.

Purdue University Calumet holding summer camps

HAMMOND | Purdue University Calumet men's basketball coach Dan Voudrie will hold a Little Dribblers Camp for boys in grades 1-6 from 9 a.m. to noon June 10-13, and a Day Camp for boys in grades 3-8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 17-20. Pioneer Open at Harborside Golf Center

CHICAGO | St. Francis de Sales High School will hold the Pioneer Open, June 17 at Harborside International Golf Center. Registration opens at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at 11:45 a.m. and a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. A reception and dinner will conclude the event at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the Pier 37 Club House. Foursomes are priced at $1,000 ($250/person). Cost for dinner only is $100. Sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $500. Proceeds to benefit the SFDS students.

Darrel Chaney to appear at InnerMission dinner

Morton graduate and former major league baseball player Darrel Chaney will appear at the InnerMission Inc. benefit dinner 6 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Area Career Center, 5727 Sohl Ave., Hammond.

Earlier that day, InnerMission will hold its third-annual golf classic at 8 a.m. at Wicker Park Memorial Park Golf Course in Highland.

Cost for the dinner is $30; cost for golf is $65; cost for both is $75.
