Dudek wins Senior Singles bowling title
GRIFFITH | John Dudek, who was recently inducted into the Greater Calumet Area USBC Hall of Fame, claimed the A Division title in the eighth-annual Senior Singles Bowling Tournament held over the past month at Set 'Em Up Lanes.
Dudek, 59, of Orland Park, rolled a 716 actual series (737 with handicap), besting Jim Rutherford and Keith Best, who tied for second with overall scores of 714.
Chuck Marovich, of Griffith, won the B Division title with an overall score of 726, finishing well ahead of runner-up Carol Vargo (644) and Jeff Barnes (641).
Jerry Sabin, of Griffith, won the C Division with an overall score of 716 ahead of Ken Pogach (710) and Greg Johns (698).
William Higgins, of Lynwood, claimed the D Division title (660 series) ahead of Marshall Surratt (649) and Andy Hoke (623).

South Suburban to hold adult-child baseball camps
SOUTH HOLLAND | The South Suburban College Baseball Program and head coach Steve Ruzich will be conducting adult-child baseball camps, Feb. 14-23 for boys and girls ages 6-14. The camps will feature sessions for pitching, catching, hitting and fielding while providing adults and kids the opportunity to improve their knowledge of baseball skills and techniques.
Times and dates for each session are as follows: Pitching, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Feb. 14, or 9 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 22; Hitting, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 15, noon to 2:30 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 23; Advanced Hitting, 2 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 23; Catching, 1 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 23; Fielding, 3:30 to 6 p.m. Feb. 16 or 6:30 to 9 p.m. Feb. 21.
The cost is $45 for one adult and one child per camp, and $40 per camp if enrolled in more than one. The cost is $30 for each additional child.

Greater Calumet Area bowling championships at Stardust III

Based on 35 entries, Team event will pay out $1,100 for both divisions; based on 70 entries, Doubles will pay out $550 for both divisions while Singles will pay out $275 for both divisions.

H-F Racquet and Fitness Club holding indoor triathlon
HOMEWOOD | The Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet and Fitness Club, 2920 W. 183rd St., has opened registration for its fifth-annual Indoor Triathlon to members and non-members. Each participant starts with a 10-minute swim in the club's 25-yard pool with the distance recorded in 25-yard increments. There is a 10-minute transition to the bike portion, which has athletes riding a LifeFitness Upright in the club's fitness center for 20 minutes with resistance factored into the overall distance. The participant will have five minutes to transition to the final segment, a 15-minute run/walk on LifeFitness Treadmills in the fitness center.
