H-F Racquet and Fitness Club holding indoor triathlon

HOMEWOOD | The Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet and Fitness Club, 2920 W. 183rd St., has opened registration for its fifth-annual Indoor Triathlon to members and non-members. Participation can be as an individual or as a relay team. Participants may also compete in two heats of the Indoor Triathlon, a Double Challenge, for the Indoor Iron Championship. The Indoor Triathlon and Double Challenge will be held on Feb. 21 and 22 at the club.

Each participant starts with a 10-minute swim in the club's 25-yard pool with the distance recorded in 25-yard increments. There is a 10-minute transition to the bike portion, which has athletes riding a LifeFitness Upright in the club's fitness center for 20 minutes with resistance factored into the overall distance. The participant will have five minutes to transition to the final segment, a 15-minute run/walk on LifeFitness Treadmills in the fitness center.

NAYS holding basketball tourney at South Suburban

SOUTH HOLLAND | North American Youth Sports will hold its annual spring youth basketball tournament March 14-16 at South Suburban College. The tournament will feature 12 boys and girls grade brackets ranging from grades 4-5 to 11-12. All grades are based on the grade in which a student is currently enrolled for the 2013-2014 school year.

Indiana Chiefs of Hammond holding Sunday camps

HAMMOND | The Indiana Chiefs of Hammond will be offering Sunday Morning Baseball Camps inside the Bishop Noll fieldhouse, 1519 Hoffman St. The camp dates are Jan. 26; Feb. 2, 9 and 23; and March 2 and 9. Players ages 7-12 as of May 1, 2014 are eligible to participate from 9 to 10:30 a.m.; players age 13-15 as of May 1, 2014 are eligible to participate from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
