Local players help Illinois Sparks to championships
Andrew Jumonville and Ryan King, of Munster, and Bobby Seymour, of St. John, were members of the Illinois Sparks 14U baseball team that won four tournaments this spring and summer. They included the Indianapolis Sport Hit and Run Showdown, the Spring Showdown and Ho Chunk, the CABA Midwest Regional, and the St. Viator Slugfest.
Altitude Volleyball to hold pre-season skills clinic

Indiana Chiefs holding long toss program and instruction
HAMMOND | The Indiana Chiefs of Hammond will be offering a long toss program with baseball instruction at Riverside Park in Hammond. The program will be offered three days a week -- from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sundays. The Tuesday and Thursday sessions will focus strictly on the long toss program. On Sundays, in addition to the long toss program, there will also be an instruction covering pitching, position play, hitting, bunting and base running.
