Indiana Chiefs of Hammond holding Sunday camps

HAMMOND | The Indiana Chiefs of Hammond will be offering Sunday Morning Baseball Camps inside the Bishop Noll fieldhouse, 1519 Hoffman St. The camp dates are Jan. 26; Feb. 2, 9 and 23; and March 2 and 9. Players ages 7-12 as of May 1, 2014 are eligible to participate from 9 to 10:30 a.m.; players age 13-15 as of May 1, 2014 are eligible to participate from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $15 per session or $75 for all six sessions if paid on or before Jan. 26. Those who register for all six sessions will receive a camp T-shirt.

Coed indoor soccer at Hammond Family YMCA

HAMMOND | The Hammond Family YMCA will hold its Coed Indoor Soccer program starting Jan. 18. Registration runs through Jan. 13. Boys and girls in grades K-5 will have one practice during the week and games will be played on Saturdays. Toddlers ranging from ages 2-3 and 4-5 will have 30 minutes or instruction and 30 minutes of game time on Saturdays. Team sponsorships are available for $100 -- sponsor name on team T-shirt.

Hessville Little League holding baseball/softball sign-ups

HAMMOND | Hessville Little League is holding baseball/softball sign-ups at the Jean Shepherd Community Center, 3031 Mahoney Drive. Times and dates are from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 15 and Jan. 29; and from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 18, Feb.1 and Feb. 8. Registration fees are $80 for Tee-Ball, $100 for baseball and softball at all levels, and $260 maximum per immediate household members with proof of residency required.  Each family (household) is required to participate in a fundraiser by purchasing and selling $50 in raffle tickets or pay a fundraising fee of $50. A late fee of $10 per child or $20 per family may apply for registration after the aforementioned dates.
