Duneland wins ISC State Ski Club races

The Duneland Ski Club, based in Northwest Indiana, won the Indiana Ski Council State Ski Club Races for the fourth time in six years.

The latest event took place Feb. 9 at Boyne Highlands in Michigan. Competing in slalom downhill races on side-by-side courses, Duneland earned the Bob Burns Memorial Trophy, which is given to the ISC Club Races champion. Duneland previously had won it in 2008, 2009 and 2012.

Agnieszka Wojcik earned the "Fastest Female" award and was one of 11 gold-medal winners for Duneland. Others were Jack Anderson, Ginnie Moffitt, Marilyn Muniz, Pete Resetar, Mary Golding, Mary Christof, Charlie Cleek, William Stover, Steve Yelverton and Bill Leavitt.

Other medal winners for Duneland were Henry Bottando, Kim Hart, Larry Moffitt, Mel Maxwell, JoAnn Cleek, Matt Hart, Allan Nalbor and Lyle Carlson.
