Viking Wrestling Club to hold sign-ups
VALPARAISO | The Valparaiso Wrestling Club will hold sign-ups for Session I from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 and Session II from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 7 in the Valparaiso High School fieldhouse lobby. Session I is an Elementary League, which runs from November through December for wrestlers aged 5 to 12. Session II is a Folkstyle Season, which runs from January through March for wrestlers aged 5 to 18. All wrestlers must bring a completed physical form and insurance information to the sign-ups. New wrestlers must bring a copy of their birth certificate. Cost is $60 -- $50 each family rate for two or more kids -- for Session I. Cost is $75 -- $65 each family rate for two or more kids -- for Session II. VU Parent's Night Out event Friday
VALPARAISO | The Valparaiso University women's basketball team will sponsor a Parent’s Night Out Event on Friday. The childrens' function runs from 6 to 9 p.m. as part of the Crusaders' women's volleyball game against Loyola. Basic basketball fundamentals will be taught. Children will also have the opportunity to make posters and cheer for VU during the volleyball game. Each child will receive a T-shirt. Cost is $25 for one child, $15 for a second child or $50 for a family of three or more children.
