VALPARAISO | The Valpo ATA Black Belt Academy will offer a Summer Weapons Camp from Aug. 6 through 9. Students will learn how to use Ssahng Nats (kamas or sickles) and Oh Sung Do (broad sword). They will also learn how to respond appropriately when bullying turns violent, and receive Agent G dog tags and wrist bracelets. Cost is $100 for ATA students, which includes weapons. Fall Baseball League offers eight locations
The High School Fall Baseball League has expanded to eight locations: Northwest Indiana, Porter County, Chicago South, Dayton, Ohio, Indianapolis, I-70, Bloomington and Louisville. The wooden bat league is for players who will be in grades nine through 12 this fall. Each league will play in a six-week regular season, including a league championship tournament. League champions will earn a birth into the "HSFBL Championship Tournament."
There will also be a "HSFBL All-Star Exposure Game," and each league will participate in a "College Game Day" at a partner college/university where players will meet the college coaching staff and tour the campus.
