Inswimniac Challenge March 2-3
VALPARAISO | The Valparaiso YMCA's annual Inswimniac Challenge will take place March 2 and 3. The 24-hour swim starts at noon March 2. Individuals or teams up to 10 swimmers can participate. Cost is $55 for individuals, $45 per team. Registration will run through Wednesday. A $5 late fee will be added to the total for anyone that registers between Thursday and March 1. State basketball tournament at the Fieldhouse

Youth Sports Expo this weekend at Porter County Center
VALPARAISO | The Porter County Expo Center, 215 E. Division Road, will host the Northwest Indiana Youth Sports Expo from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Businesses and organizations such as the YMCA, Blythe's Sporting Goods, Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers and Cinemagic Sports Line will be on hand with information on their businesses and products. There will be seminars, including one featuring Dr. Anthony Levenda from Lakeshore Bone and Joint speaking on knee injuries and common over-use sports injuries. There will be demonstrations and food vendors. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children aged 5 to 12. Children under 5 get in free.
