Soccer camp at West Side Park next week

VALPARAISO | An annual youth soccer camp for children aged 7 to 18 will be conducted Monday through Friday at West Side Park. Sessions will run from 9 a.m. to noon and 5 to 8 p.m. For details, call camp director Danny Jeftich at (219) 242-3770.

 

Valpo University offers summer basketball camps

VALPARAISO | Valparaiso University's men's and women's basketball teams will host youth camps this summer.

The women's team will run a four-day camp from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday for girls entering grades three through eight. The cost is $90. An overnight elite camp for incoming high school students will run June 18 and 19. The cost is $100. A two-day team shootout camp will run June 20 and 21 for high school and junior varsity squads. The cost is $350 for one day, $500 for two days.

The men's team will run a mini-camp for children aged 5 to 7 from 9 a.m. to noon June 24 to 27. The cost is $115. The Valpo Basketball School will run from 9 a.m. to noon June 24 through 27 and is for players aged 8 to 14. The cost is $165. The Valpo Basketball Academy is for players aged 8 to 14 and will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 29 through Aug. 2. The cost is $295.
