MERRILLVILLE | The American CueSports Indiana Association will hold the 16th-annual Indiana State Pocket Billiards Championships, Wednesday through Sunday at the Radisson Star Plaza. On Wednesday, there will be Seniors (5 p.m.) and Open 9-Ball (6 p.m.); on Thursday, there will be Scotch Doubles (9 a.m.) and Single 8-Ball (4 p.m.); on Friday, Team play will start at 6 p.m. and will run through the following Sunday. Hunter's Education Safety Course at Cedar Creek
CEDAR LAKE | Lake County Parks is offering a Hunter's Education Safety Course from 6 to 9 p.m. March 15, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 16 at Cedar Creek Family Golf Center, 10483 W. 109th Ave. Participants must attend both session and pass a written test. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources requires all hunters born after 1986 to take the class.
