Warriors First Foundation holding motorcycle run

CROWN POINT | The Warriors First Foundation will hold its annual Charity Motorcycle Run and Benefit Concert Saturday. Registration for the event starts at 8 a.m. at the American Legion Post 20 in Crown Point, 1401 S. Main St. At 9 a.m. riders will begin to hit the road making stops at the St. John VFW, the Porter VFW, the Valparaiso VFW and then back to Post 20 for the benefit starting at noon.

There will be two live bands, a DJ, a corn hole tournament, a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. Cost is $25 per rider, $20 per passenger and $10 for extra card. At each stop, participants will be given one dart to throw at a board that will have numbers 1-25 randomly in squares. The person will the highest sum at the end of the run wins.

Lake Central Hockey Club holding on-ice conditioning

ST. JOHN | The Lake Central Hockey Club is beginning on-ice conditioning at Midwest Training and Ice Center for players in grades 9-12 interested in playing for Lake Central this fall. There are eight on-ice conditioning sessions scheduled beginning Tuesday. Three tryout dates will be determined at a later time.

The conditioning times and dates are from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 15; from 9:10 to 10:10 p.m. Aug. 20; from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 22; from 9:10 to 10:10 p.m. Aug. 27; and from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 29.
