Voss, Grapenthien lead 'North' in lacrosse all-star game
Abbey Voss and Reece Grapenthien , both Crown Point Girls Lacrosse freshmen, were the only Region I players chosen for the Indiana Girls Lacrosse "Rising Stars" game held May 31 at Breubref High School in Indianapolis.
With Voss playing goalie for the entire game and Grapenthien starting on defense, they helped the "North" team beat "South" 10-6.
Miestowski wins Indiana Golf Foundation tourney opener
FRANKLIN | Alexis Miestowski, of Schererville, won the girls 13-14 division at the Indiana Golf Foundation series opener held June 2 at Hillview Country Club.
Mietowski's 18-hole score of 82 earned her the division title by seven strokes, and would tied her among the leaders in the girls 17-19 division.

A variety of summer tennis programs are being held at Match Point Tennis Club, 1111 Reyome Dr., Griffith, and Andrean High School, 5959 Broadway, Merrillville.
10-and-Under Tennis, which will use age-appropriate equipment, will be held on Tuesdays (June 17, 24, July 8, 15 22, 29, Aug. 5 and 12) from 4 to 5 p.m. at Match Point, and on Fridays (June 13, 20 27, July 11, 18, 25, Aug. 1 and 18) from 4 to 5 p.m. at Andrean.
