BEARS' RODRIGUEZ ARRESTED IN MIAMI: A Bears fullback faces charges after Miami Beach police say he refused to cooperate with officers when a car he was riding in crashed.

Jail records show 24-year-old Evan Rodriguez was arrested early Thursday. He was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer at 5:32 a.m. but released several hours later on $1,500 bail.

Following a crash Wednesday night, an arrest report says Rodriguez initially refused to identify himself to police, saying he was an NFL player and didn't need the attention. After leaving the scene and returning, police say he became confrontational, shouting at officers and the man who had been driving.

BEARS ADD TIGHT END: The Bears agreed to terms with tight end Steve Maneri on a two-year contract Thursday.

The 6-foot-7, 280-pound Maneri has appeared in 19 games with nine starts over two seasons (2011-12) with Kansas City after entering the NFL with Houston in 2010 as an undrafted free agent out of Temple University.
