Margaret E. Larson
Margaret E. Larson, 96, of Valparaiso passed away Thursday, November 15, 2001 at Life Care Center. She was born December 3, 1904 in Berwyn, IL to Andrew M. and Anna Louise (Erickson) Nelson. A Valparaiso resident since 1970, formerly of Gary, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, a former member of the Methodist Hospital Guild, former member of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Indiana and an avid supporter of the Porter county Boys and Girls Club. On October 20, 1928 in Berwyn she married Edward C. Larson who preceded her in death in 1984. Together they established the Edward and Margaret Larson Scholarship at Valparaiso University.
Margaret is survived by one daughter, Marilyn (Don) Hagstrom of Valparaiso; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Monday, 10:30 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, The Rev. Chris Nunley officiating with entombment at Graceland Cemetery Mausoleum. Raymond A. Mau, 73, of Hammond, IN passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2001. He is survived by four children, Robert (Deloris) Mau of Great Falls, MT, Raymond James Mau of Woodridge, IL, Kenneth (Esther) Mau of Orlando, FL and Karen A. Mau of Hammond, IN; six grandchildren.
