Cecelia Bobin

Cecelia Bobin, 73, of Hessville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November

18 1995 at St. Margaret Mercy North Campus. She is survived by a sister, Rita

Slankard of Syracuse, Indiana; two brothers, Raymond (Shirley) Bobin of

Pennsylvania and Joseph (Linda) Bobin of Roswell, Georgia and several nieces

and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 20, 1995 at 10 a.m. from

Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave., Hessville, IN. with Rev. Richard

Orlinski officiating. Burial of cremains at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City,

IL. There will be no hours of visitation prior to the memorial service.

Cecelia was a lifetime resident of the Calumet area and employed at the

School City of Hammond as a library assistant at Harding School; a member of

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

Victoria Bournazos

(nee Enloe)

Victoria Bournazos (nee Enloe), 46, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away

Thursday, November 16, 1995 at St. Margaret Mercy North Campus. She is survived

by two sons, Charles and Matthew of Merrillville; four brothers, Ted Enloe of

East Chicago, Terry and Tom Enloe of Hammond and Kenneth (Dorie) Enloe of

Leesburg, Florida; step-mother, Margaret Dowell; two step-brothers, Ken (Pam)

Kubacki of Raleigh, N.C. and Kevin (Beverly) Kubacki of Mt. Pleasant, N.C.

Preceded in death by loving parents, Garland and Mildred Enloe, one sister,

Susan Gastaut and brother Ronald Enloe.

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday evening, November 19th at 7 p.m.

at the Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 5840 Hohman Ave., Hammond, Indiana. Burial will

be private.

Victoria was a former employee of Tri-City Mental Health.

Elizabeth Deligiannis

Elizabeth Deligiannis, 78, of Joliet, Illinois. At rest Friday, November

17 1995 at Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Vytina, Greece and a resident

here since 1967. Beloved mother of Mike (Susan) Deligiannis, Frank (Sophia)

Deligiannis, Anna (Sam) Charalambos and Helen (George) Marinos; proud

grandmother of nine. Also survived by two brothers in Greece and numerous

nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Athanasios "Tom" and also

her parents.

Funeral services for will be held on Monday, November 20, 1995, 9:15 a.m.

from the Fred C. Dames West Chapel, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet,

Illinois, to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church for services at 10 a.m.

Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in her memory to All Saints Greek

Ezella Dixon, 68, of 3324 West 21st Ave., Gary, IN., passed away

Tuesday, November 14, 1995. A Gary resident for 28 years, formerly of East

Chicago, Indiana. Member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in East Chicago.

Survived by four sons, Leroy (Joyce) and Doug (Denise) Dixon, both of Gary,

Eulisses (Gay) Dixon of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Carl (Angel) Dixon of Irving,

Texas; one daughter, Doristeen Campbell and one sister, Bernice (Rev. B.T.)

Hart, both of Gary; one brother, Cleotha Hill of Memphis, Tennessee; dear

friend, Thelma Cooper of Gary; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild and a

host of other relatives and friends.

Michael R. Edmond, 35, a Hobart, Indiana resident for 28 years, passed

away in Porter County Hospital on Thursday, November 16, 1995. He is survived

by his parents, Freddie and Patsy Edmond of Hobart; two brothers, Jeffrey

(Laurie) Edmond and Kenneth (Laurie) Edmond, both of Hobart; two sisters, Candy

(Kevin) Goad of Lake Station and Jean (Kevin) Cartwright of DeMotte; many

nieces and nephews.

Burns Funeral Home, (corner of Rt 51 & 7th St.), Hobart, Indiana., Rev. Gerald

Michael was a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1980 where he was a

linebaker on the Hobart Varsity Football Team. He served with the Navy for four

years and was a correctional officer at the Indiana State Prison in Michigan

City for six years.

Norma J. Glascock

Norma J. Glascock, 70 of Kankakee, Illinois passed away Friday,

November 17, 1995 at Riverside Medical Center. Born June 1, 1925 in Indiana

Harbor, Indiana, the daughter of Donald and Nina Crill Blubaugh who preceded

her in death. Survived by her husband, Jack; daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle

and James Magnuson of Limestone, IL. and Jackie Wood of Polo Alto, California

and several cousins.

Mrs. Glascock was a partner with her husband Jack in the Valley Glass

golf, antiquing and gardening.

Edward J. Glinski, 78, of Crown Point, Indiana, passed away Saturday

November 18, 1995 at St. Anthony Medical Center. Survived by wife Eleanor; two

daughters, Judy (Jerry) George of Valparaiso and Sandra Lynn (Ken) McKenzie of

Lake Shore, MS.; four grandchildren, John and Jennifer George, Lee McKenzie and

Dawn Couto; six great grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Ann) Glinski of Glen

Park; sister, Maxine Pesik and sister-in-law, Beverly Glinski, both of

Wisconsin.

of Eagles Crown Point Aerie #2659; also worked for several years at the Lake

County Star in circulation; member of the Southlake County Agricultural

Historial Society.

Robert D. Goodwine

Robert D. Goodwine, 69, of Crown Point, IN., passed away Friday,

November 17, 1995. He was a retired pharmacist after 44 years of service and

former owner of Brunswick Drugs. In 1972 he was awarded "Pharmacist of the

Year". He was a member of Brunswick American Legion Post #485; the Lake County

Pharmacist Association; Our Lady of Consolation Church and the Holy Name

Society and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Preceded in death by parents, Harry

and Hazel (Anderson) Goodwine. Survived by his wife, Genevieve; one son, Glenn

(Jo) Goodwine of Gary; four daughters, Linda (Dennis) Nagdemen of Dyer, Susan

(Jim) Kartz of Hammond, Gail (Marc) Bilka of Crown Point and Robin (Paul)

Huffman of Florida; six grandchildren; Erek, Adam, Kyle, David, Emily and

Elizabeth.

William J. "Bill" Jusko

William J. "Bill" Jusko, 74, of Hessville, IN. passed away Saturday,

November 18, 1995 at home. He is survived by wife Emily, of 49 years; three

daughters, Elaine Jusko, Linda Davis and Christine Jusko, all of Hammond; two

sons, William (Nicki) Jusko of Merrillville and John Jusko of Hammond; seven

grandchildren; three sisters, Eleanor (late Edward) Kosczynski of Dyer, Marian

(Don) Kingston of Stone Lake, Wisconsin and Frances (Joe) Hoder of

Schererville. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Jusko.

LTV Steel where he was a craneman in the #2 Tin Mill with 39 years of service;

Dorothy J. Karas, (nee Przybysz), 72, of Lansing, IL. passed away

Friday, November 17, 1995. Survived by one daughter, Sandra (Frank) Marinello;

two sons, Warren and Kenneth (Donna); two grandchildren, Gina and Anthony

Marinello; three sisters, Marie (late Richard) Sincavitch, Alice (Casey)

Rusiniak and Bernadine (Bill) Ward; one brother, Jack (Chris) Przybysz.

Preceded in death by her husband, Clemenc.

Chicago Boy Scout leader for 25 years. Rev. Niezgoda will hold a Vigil Service

Harold K. Kilgore

"Big Harry"

Harold K. Kilgore "Big Harry", 69 of Sun City, Arizona, passed away

Wednesday, November 15, 1995. He was born January 12, 1926 in Ziegler,

Illinois, the son of Clarence and Minnie (Nunley) Kilgore. A Sun City resident

for one year, formerly of Portage and East Chicago, he was married on October

4, 1947 to Beatrice Bonnacci in Helper, Utah who prececded him in death on June

12, 1990. He married Doris Schlung on January 12, 1991 in Portage. He was

employed as a crane operator for Bethlehem Steel of 23 years and a former

member of Portage Community Bible Church. He served in the U.S. Army during

World War II. Mr Kilgore is survived by his wife Doris of Sun City; three sons,

K. Richard (Julia) Kilgore of Portage, C. Mark (Phyllis) Kilgore of Lake

Station and K. Dennis (Sue) Kilgore of Portage; 12 grandchildren and three

great grandchildren and one sister, Letty (Paul) Homan of Oblong, Illinois.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Beatrice and one sister, Althea Childers.

Lawrence W. Lendabarker, 64, life time resident of Calumet City, IL.

passed away Monday, November 13, 1995. He is survived by brother, Howard

(Marion) Lendabarker; two sisters, Eleanor Munda and Rose (Marion) Young; two

sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Lendabarker and Lucille Hallock; many nieces and

nephews; many great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by parents,

John and Rosalie Lendabarker and three brothers, Robert, Edward and Joseph

Lendabarker.

1995. She is survived by her two daughters, Adela (George) Kohut of Hammond and

R. (Jane) Paunica of South Bend; six grandchildren, Joseph, Christine, Kathryn,

sisters, "Honey" Anna Mae (Ted) Lampa of Florida, Dolores Jean (Ray) Barnes of

Julia was a graduate of Hammond Clark High School, Class of 1943. She was

a former employee of the U.S. Government Treasury Department and a former

substitute school teacher for the city of Gary. She was a member of Nativity

Church in Portage, former long time member of Holy Angels Cathedral in Gary and

a member of Ogden Dunes Garden Club; member of Daughters of Isabella Bishop

Noll Circle #359 who will hold a rosary services on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Irene C. Plummer

Irene C. Plummer, 82, of Morocco, Indiana, formerly of Portage, passed

away on Friday evening at her home. She was born February 16, 1913 in West

Virginia. Survived by one son, Richard A. Plummer of Deming, New Mexico; two

daughters, Mrs. Duane (Linda) Tuttle of Marana, Arizona and Shirley Davis of

Morocco; grandson, Michael Wilder, granddaughter, Lynne Wilder of Morrocco and

six other grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Wilbur

(Avis) Deskins of Akron, Ohio; one brother, Pershing Creasy of Arkansas.

Prececded in death by her husband and three brothers.

Per Irene's wishes there will be no visitation or services at the present

brother, David (Helen) Todd of Arkansas.

Northwest, Indiana, passed away Thursday, November 16, 1995. Former member of

SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Merrillville. She was preceded in death by

a daughter, Donna and three sons, James, Kenneth and Gregory. Survived by

husband, Wilbur W. "Stubby" Smith; two sisters, Vada Hogan of Idaho Falls,

Idaho and Dolores Jordan of Sun City, Arizona.

Private funeral services were held on Saturday, November 18, 1995, from

the Geisen Funeral Home, Merrillville, IN.

The family requests memorials be given to Hospice of Jasper County, 1104 E.

Grace St., Rensselaer, IN. 47978. Burial was held at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery

in Merrillville.

Louis A. Wachowski, 68, late of Hegewisch, Illinois, passed away on

Thursday, November 16, 1995 at St. Margaret Mercy Hospital, Hammond. Survived

by wife Frances (nee Jakalski); one daughter, Cindy (Ned) Ilic; five sons, Jim

(Kathy Durkin), Dan (Denise), Ron (Sharon), Rik (Donna) and Terry (Lisa)

Wachowski; brother-in-law of Joann (Norb) Gray, Annette (Casey) Laczkowski and

Ann Jakalski; 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Baltimore Ave., Hegewisch, Illinois, to St. Florian Church for 9:30 a.m. Mass.

Entombment, Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation Saturday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.

and Sunday 2 to 9 p.m.

Mr. Wachowski was retired from U.S.S. Southworks after 39 years of service;

an employee of C.S.C. Security Service in Chicago and a security guard at the

Calumet City Library; member of K of C General Pulaski Council and the Fourth

Degree. He was an avid camper at Jellystone Park in Piercton, Indiana.

Jane L. Wilson

Jane L. Wilson, 50, of Calumet Township, passed away Saturday, November

18, 1995 at her residence. Preceded in death by parents, Floyd and Pauline

Henry and brother, Kenneth Henry. Survived by husband, Felix; two sons, Paul

(Pamela) Csikos of Lansing, Illinois and Timothy Csikos of Griffith, Indiana;

two grandchildren, Brooks Csikos and Adam Kaplan; theee sisters, Barbara

(Clyde) Gatlin of Florida, Harriet (Bob) Estrada of Schererville, Indiana and

Virginia Flint of Merrillville, Indiana; one brother, Daniel Henry of Lake

Station; nieces and nephews; seven step-children; nine step-grandchildren,

Katherine M. Woods (nee Killa) of Whiting, IN. passed away on Thursday,

November 16, 1995 at the Hammond-Whiting Care Center. She is survived by her

son, Daniel (Lucille) Woods of Woodridge, Illinois; two daughters, Stephanie

Edwards of Whiting and Claudia (James) Hummel of Lombard, Illinois; five

grandchildren; Danielle, Gregory, Daniel, Dawn and Bryan; four great

grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah, Gregory and Geoffrey; sister, Grace (Reuben)

Swenson of Whiting; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband,

Daniel, sister, Violet Frederickson and brother, Romeo Kuklinski.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 1995, 9;30 a.m. at the

Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting, IN., 10 a.m. Mass at St. John the

Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting, with the Rev. John E. Kalicky, C.PP.S.,

officiating. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.

Visitation at the funeral home Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer service at

Mrs. Woods was a long time resident of Chicago prior to moving to Whiting

in 1983. A former member of Resurrection Catholic Church, Chicago, where she

served as chairman of the Medical Missions; member of the Whiting Women's Club,

where she served as chairman of Minerva and member of the Fine Arts Club.

Tony J. Woznys, 86, late of Calumet City, IL., formerly of Chicago

Heights, IL. passed away Friday, November 17, 1995. He is survived by his wife,

Lottie (nee Machnikowski); daughter, Diane Modjeski; three grandchildren,

Victor (Karen) Modjeski, Jeff (Lily) Modjeski and Lisa (Mark) Hajduch; great

grandson, Derek Modjeski; a sister, Agnes in Lithuania; sister-in-law, Emily

Budzowski; niece, Billie Pignotti. Preceded in death by a sister, Ann Papke,

son-in-law, Victor "Mo" Modjeski and brother-in-law, Frank Budzowski.

after 41 years of service.

James Wyrick

James Wyrick, 77, of Gary, IN. passed away Saturday, November 18, 1995.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; five children: Carol (Norman) Swider of

South Bend, Indiana, Judy (Joe) Peters of Wheatfield, James T. (Jan) Wyrick of

Griffith, Michael D. Wyrick of Gary and Steven E. (Donna) Wyrick of Hebron; one

sister, Evelyn Woolery of Eldon, Missouri; nine grandchildren and four great

grandchildren.

Shirley A. Zeilenga (nee Vos), 45, of Highland, Indiana, formerly of

Chicago-a resident of Inglewood, Rosewood and Mount Greenwood, passed away on

Friday, November 17, 1995. Survived by husband, Neil J.; two step-sons, Nicklas

Zeilenga and Neil Zeilenga, both at home; mother, Ann Vos of South Holland; one

brother, Clarence (Marlene) Vos of Chicago; one sister, Betty (Bill) Scheeringa

of Florida; many beloved nieces and nephews. Preced in death by father, Tunnis

Vos.

Mrs. Zeilenga was a member of Trinity Reformed Church of Munster; a

employed at Messenger Mortgages in Oak Lawn, Illinois for 20 years.

Shirley was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Memorials may be

given to the New Hospice House to be built in Munster in 1996 at-(Capital

Campaign Chairman, Hospice of the Calumet Area, 600 Superior Ave., Munster, IN.
