St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47
years, Rose (nee Giorgio); three sons, Steve (Sue) Arendas
of Lake Villa, IL, Jim (Annette) Arendas of Lakes of the Four Seasons and Dan
Arendas of Whiting; six grandchildren, Stephen, Melissa, Andrew, Nathan, Angela

was an aide at Porter Memorial Hospital and member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
On January 15, 1943 in Valparaiso, she married Paul John Doepping, Sr., who
preceded her in death July 12, 1999. Surviving are two sons, Paul J. (Barbara)

Antonio, TX. M/Sgt. Dominguez, during his tour of duty, was assigned to
several Air Force military bases here in the U.S. and Europe. He received
numerous awards for meritorious
service. M/Sgt. Dominguez final assignment was the 16th Aircraft Maintenance
Unit, Hurlburt Field, Florida, as a Production Superintendent on the AC-130H
Specter Gunship. Upon his retirment he and his family settled at Converse,

Helen M. Dranchak, 84, of Portage, left for her Heavenly home on Sunday,
January 9, 2000. Helen was a wonderfully kind woman whose compassion for others
goes unsurpassed. She always retained the little child playfulness quality
which greatly enhanced those who were lucky enough to be called her loved ones.
She will be deeply missed. Although she led a simple, unassuming life, her
impact on her family is far

Florence C. Hoffman, 82, of Griffith, passed

Mrs. Hoffman was a member of St. Mary Church of Griffith and was
secretary of the Wednesday morning bowling league. Flo was in charge of funeral

Anna M. Hoppe, 96, of Hebron, IN, passed away on Sunday, January
9, 2000. She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Cotner of Hebron; five
grandchildren: Steven Cotner of Hebron, David Cotner of Cedar Lake, Thomas
Cotner of Hebron, Carol Bunce of Crown Point and Diana Goodman of South Haven,
IN; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; one son-in-law, Chester
Cotner, three brothers, Louis Bein, William Bein and Herman Bein, and four
sisters, Louise Dehnel, Elisie Wind, Helen Piepho and Emma Wicksell.
