BP marks final milestone on refinery project

BP has started up its new state-of-the-art coker at its Whiting refinery, shown here, a processing unit that converts residual crude oil into gas oils that can be used in gasoline. BP completed a $4.2 billion modernization of its Whiting refinery, so it could process more heavy crude oil from Canada.
