Central Park Plaza Ice Rink

The 12,000-square-foot open-air William E. Urschel Pavilion in Valparaiso’s Central Park Plaza is transformed into an ice arena from mid-November to March offering a spot for some chilly family fun. The Indiana Beverage Activity Center has an area for skaters to warm up (while still being able to view the skating rink through windows) and to purchase hot chocolate and snacks.

Admission for skating is $5 per person with $3 for rental of skates and helmets. Locker rental is available for $2. Season passes and multi-visit admission booklets can also be purchased. Open skate is scheduled daily during the skating season.

Ice Plaza at Deep River Waterpark

Where: Crown Point


From 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 2 to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and holidays, Deep River Waterpark, 9001 E. U.S. 30, turns into a winter wonderland complete with an ice skating rink, food and beverage locations, a heated bathroom and more.
