Preovided by Lake Street Elementary School Visiting the new Crown Point Community Library was on the must-do list for many Lake Street Elementary School students during their winter break. Before heading home for a two-week holiday, students were given an incentive flyer to take to the library. If they visited, checked out some books, and got the flyer stamped, students could then return it to the school librarian for a prize of their choice, as shown in the photo. "The kids were very excited and proud to flood the doors of the Lake Street library on Monday with their signed slips and even their public library books," said Media Specialist Carey Govert. "We were surprised and delighted that more than 75 students participated in the event."
