21st Charter

These four students are among 50 sophomores and juniors from 21st Century Charter School who took a lunch cruise on Lake Michigan with Geo Foundation founder Kevin Teasley. The foundation operates the school. Teasley said the lunch cruise was to celebrate the students' success in passing state-mandated tests the first time. He said 90 percent of the school's population is on free and reduced-price lunch. He said many of the students had never been on a boat, much less to Chicago.
