- Wouldn't it be in the best interest of the area to close it off entirely for a period of not less than 2-3 years and make that known to the public. I realize Mt. Baldy draws tourist trade and $, but a more drastic option seems the best way to save this entire area around Mt. Baldy for the long term benefits. We're talking about doing whatever is necessary to hopefully s.a.v.e. this natural treasure.
