another " oops " moment?!
Former Gary police officer David Finley Jr. will admit he knowingly sold a gun to a felon in August and sold that same person drugs later the same day. Finley’s attorney John Cantrell filed on Friday in the U.S. District Court a notice for Finley, …
He of ALL should have had control of, and known the whereabouts of his service weapon at ALL times! And that PROVES he is incompetent! And now his gun may very well be in the hands of a felon due to his neglect, and incompetence! I know where my gun is at ALL times, and would never leave it ANYWHERE out of my sight for ANY amount of time.....this " oops " moment will undoubtedly result in a crime being committed with this " lost " gun, you wait and see.....and if as you say "been known to happen in the Gary Police Department before" then maybe the weapons need to be attached to them somehow at the beginning of their shifts, an accounted for at the end, like how kids mittens had a string attached through the sleeves back in the day! It's idiots like him that do stupid things like that, that allows a criminal access to a gun, but we LEGAL responsible gun owners have to suffer for their incompetence....the story to come will be " lost Gary police captains gun recovered at homicide scene" or to that effect.....any takers on that " bet "?
There's no such thing as an honest liar, nor a reformed sneak. When these people are caught, we are all guilty in some form for their actions by either turning a blind eye, listening to a false promise, or just not being involved. One way to get rid of the corrupt politicians is to limit terms even more, base their wages on performance, merit, and honesty ( if they make a campaign promise to do something and fail to make good on that promise ect) take away all the "perks" of having that position, unless it's earned. As for corrupt police, make it ZERO tolerance.....if your caught doing anything even slightly questionable.....your DONE..forever in that line of work! same goes for politicians......just remember, " who's watching the watchers? " We ALL need to let these people know that they are being watched, and that corruption at ANY level will NOT be tolerated!
How about you or any other " johnny public " volunteer for a day for the Public Works, and see what you think they do....take a ride on the chipper truck for a day, maybe do some pot-hole patching.....or, get up @ 2 or 3 a.m. and maybe do some salting and/or plowing.....oh, I know, maybe go out on a water main break that lasts 12 hours in sub-zero weather....hey, I got it...maybe you can go out with the sewer crew and do some sewer jetting in a thunder storm, or maybe pull a lift-station pump that is clogged by things that people shouldn't flush but do. How's about you do some meter reading on a nice 98 degree day with 80% humidity, or on a brisk 12 degree winter day.....
People like you have no clue what the Public Works do, but yet claim they do. maybe that " person " you saw doing " private business " was doing it on their break or lunch, or...are they not allowed lunches or breaks.....? I'm sure somebody could make claims on how, what or why you do your job in a particular form or fashion. So I suggest unless you plan to volunteer to go work for the Public Works, or any other department, and see what they REALLY do, you need to re-think your OPINION.
