- You missed the part of my post where I said "Studies in Michigan......." This is not the way to fix this. It is failing miserably in Michigan. The governor tried to do this once before and the voters overturned his first attempt at this. They put it up for referendum and it was voted down by a majority of Michiganders. The Republican House, Senate and governor then did an end run around it. They rewrote the law and passed it AGAIN against the wishes of the voters. Is that democracy?

- There is a much larger issue here that no one seems to be picking up on. Indiana evidently intends to follow Michigan's lead and install emergency managers. A non-elected official will take over cities and towns thereby nullifying your vote. Mayors and town councils will have no power to govern and will essentially be relegated to nothing more than figureheads. The managers will have the authority to sell off town assets, void contracts and do not have to answer to the voters. Studies in Michigan have found that these managers have left the cities and towns in worse shape than when they came in. This is a horrendous overreach by the state and should not be allowed to happen. BEWARE!

- Before any income tax is even thought about, Lake County needs to clean house. In just the Lake Co parks division alone, how many take home vehicles are there? How much does all that insurance cost us? How about that gas pump out there where they all fill up and do their personal business on our gas? How many in management are double dipping by "retiring" and collecting their pension and full benefits while still maintaining their positions and collecting a paycheck? All this in just the parks division. What else goes on in every other division of county government? No new taxes until they clean house!

- Welcome to Teabekistan, formerly known as the State of Indiana. Who, other than a bagger, would turn down federal dollars to insure the citizens of this state? Do they really think they are doing something great for this state by standing on some absurd right wing principle? We pay into the federal government and they are turning down our own money that is being returned to us. Money that would benefit the residents of this state. So let's refuse those dollars, let the other states benefit from our tax dollars and keep treating the uninsured at exorbitant costs in the ER. Only in baggerland does this make sense. Fasten your seatbelts, folks, this is only the beginning of the insanity.

- The party of less government strikes again. They rail against government intrusion in our lives unless it involves a uterus. In order for women to exercise their right to choose guaranteed by the Supreme Court, let's force them to undergo not just one but TWO medically unnecessary, invasive vaginal probe ultrasounds. This is nothing more than legalized rape.

- Well, it will be interesting to watch if nothing else. Fasten your seats belts, folks, and get ready for teabag, inc. With Pence at the helm and the House and Senate in control of the bags, they will be coming after womens' rights and making sure the LGBT community have none. And don't even think that they will increase funding for your childrens' education. Sad that in the 21st century, the majority of Hoosiers are so backward in their thinking. Don't ya just love all that gerrymandering by the Republicans so that everyone else's voices are drowned out? Maybe Pence can even find a place for Mourdock in his administration.
