  1. I regret looking at these comments because they have made emotions that I have surpressed surface again. So I will leave on this note and hopefully teach those who have no expeirence on this topic one thing, it is the addict who is greedy, selfish, neglectful, and self-serving so stop blaming good-loving parents. It is because of people who make judgement on these good-loving parents, which cause them to blame themselves and feel guilty that they becocme en-ablers. En-ablers are an addicts best friend and worse enemy. Addicts must accept responsibility for their own actions and be held accountable, or they will never learn or worse they will die. There are three outcomes for an addict recovery, jail, or death. All good-loving parents and family hope and pray for recovery. They will be content with jail because they can sleep at night knowing their child is off the streets and alive. Then there is the worse nightmare of all- losing your child forever. Before you judge good people try to walk in their shoes, understand, and educate yourself. Stop judging people, no one is perfect, help become part of the solution to this terrible epidemic of drug abuse. No loving parent wants their child to be an addict of any kind. Remember, addiction is addiction, some are just more socially acceptable. So whoever is throwing stones take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself, "am I perfect?".
Right below this box is a picture of the little boy who was abused, neglected, and died by they hands of his parents. I am for certian he would have traded shoes with Amiee, my daughter, and many others (addicts) who cry that it is everyone else fault but their own. It was their free-willed decission, no one keeps them captive but their addiction, and it will until they decide to break the chain that binds them. Peace and love to all.

  2. To One View- I too am a mother victim of her daughter's drug addiction. I also have had my house robbed by her and her friends. It is the worse thing that has ever happened to me. It is your own child, someone you have raised and loved. I am applaud by your comments regarding Merrillee as being a selfish, greedy, neglectful mother. I was a stay at home mother for 11years, who dedicated all of my time to my children, my daughter was in ballet (The Nutcracker at the Raddison), gymnastics, plays, softball, swim, and whatever else she wanted to participate in she was encouraged. I taught my children about giving back to the community, we would volunteer at the retirement center every week, and I was a CCD teacher at our church. It was not until my children became school age that I went back to work.
I also am in the medical field and the characteristics that you mention is not of someone who works with public or private health. The last thing we are is greedy, selfish, and neglectful.
Also, I have spent countless hours, and money trying to help my daughter fight her addiction. It is a choice they must make on their own, no one can do it for them or it would have been done. TOUGH LOVE is all we have!!!
So in closing all I have to say is, you are by far the most ignorant person on this thread. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

  3. It was not 30 grams of heroin it was 0.3 grams of heroin it is a typo. Busting her didn't lead to the suppliers because the CPPD know who they are, and where they live. These people have been around for a long time, and have been helping get our children addicted to heroin for a few years now. They are right in our back yard and nothing is being done about it. Except they are under surveillance, big deal. These people now they are being watched. Are they out witting our police??? Come on, who are they affliated with, what politician or dirty cop are they dealing with????? When is something going to be done??
