  1. Well Common, that would mean that we would have to close the doors to the high school save the Nurse, and secretary... As all of the administration went through the phones, searched cars, and did not allow the kids to phone their parents until AFTER they were done with their investigations.. They then turned the phones over to the police. That's where the parents had to go to get the phones.. And not all were released...

    Oh-and that was after they suspended many more than 12 kids..

    So, by my calculation, there are about 1400 students there.. MOST if not ALL have cells.. So if all of those were also suspended... That would leave maybe 5 people in the school... So much for the referendum....

    OK.. Turn off your tv, lock your doors, home school your child and don't socialize.. That's what you are basically saying..

  3. Both of you are correct... There were pictures of about 4 different girls.. Oe from LCD that did look like the person mentioned and she told...she was younger at the time the pictures were taken. The other three were older girls..

  5. Then the girls that took the pictures and sent them out should be punished as well and not coddled.. OR... If that is their career choice, wait until they are 18 and have at it.. But to punish the guys for acting in a normal teen-aged fashion, and not punishing the other girls that also had the pictures boarders on discrimination... Sexual and otherwise..

    I say all or none.. This should be a learning experience rather than punitive... Why ruin young lives if it's not necessary???

  6. Personally speaking, I do send my students to school with their phones. One because they may need to contact me but MORESO if there are any incidents (like sandy hook, columbine, or the most recent arms threat at MHS) I would want them to be able to get help of some kind...

    The way I see it.. The phones are not the issue... If the pictures never were taken and sent out... Then there would never have been any issue... Except for the occasional venture to playboy.com or hustler.com, etc....

  8. The girl that tipped off was not even the girl in the photo.. This was a girl that LOOKED like her. She was upset that they were saying it was her and so she told.

  10. I heard there is nothing happening to the girls that actually took the pictures and put them out.. No indecent exposure charges....nothing.. But some 18 year old males may be charged?? REALLY??

    How many of you all had 'that Polaroid picture' back in high school??? Where would you be today if your lives were ruined because of it??

    We need to teach our ladies to be Ladies and the men to be GENTLEmen again..
