  1. He's known as Butterbean and he's cute and cuddly so they enjoy having him around.

  2. I commend Councilmen Parker, Corns and Philpot for sticking with an officer from within the department, there are several capable high ranking officers who would do a great job and Matson is one of them. Kuiper wanting an outside Chief is a slap in the face to every officer on the LPD and it shows he has no respect for the FOP. Stay tuned folks, this is just the beginning, wait until the department audit is finished, you will see the former Asst. Chief heading for the hills and resigning. One good thing is, Shelhart is finally gone and the Asst. Chief is not allowed to run wild anymore. It appears the police commission is finally waking up to the fact that perhaps they have been lied to for quite awhile.

  3. The word on the street is...the Lowell FOP is supporting Todd Angerman for interim chief? The FOP met a few days ago and already, Assistant Chief Tokach is on the retaliation tour, he is going after the FOP members who attended the meeting and voted. Stay tuned folks, this is going to get real dicey! I heard that Sgt. Tucker, who was there at the FOP meeting was ordered to vacate his office immediately? Wow, Tokach has real problems! Making an officer move his things out of his office because he attended an FOP meeting?

  4. So lets get this straight: the surveys are sent out and due back on the 28th of February and the Town Council approves it already? hahaha---this is as funny as having Lake County handle the dispatching for the Town of Lowell. This is the beginning of the end for a couple of men who now lead the LPD. If the Town Council doesn't start making the police commission do their job, the FBI may have to!

  5. HUGE mistake. "Lowell residents will notice no difference?" LOL---what a shame.
January 17, 2013 2:32 pm on Lowell to merge E-911 communications with county
  6. The police commission was told to "STAND DOWN" on investigating Tokach and Shelhart for corruption and crimes by none other than Don Parker. Someday, the police commission will realize that they are there to protect the officers from tyranny not enable it. Word on the street is that Tokach and Shelhart may finally be getting their just due. Stay tuned. Meanwhile, why does a police commission exist? To be puppets? or leaders? How long are you going to allow Shelhart to hold you hostage by not allowing you to address Tokach? The morale at the LPD is the absolute WORST its ever been. How many more officers are going to leave because of Tokach?
