- HE CAME FROM INDY TO VISIT HIS KIDS.... REALLY AMAZES ME HOW PEOPLE LIKE THROWING STONES!! HE HAS BEEN DRUG FREE SINCE AUGUST... HE MOVED TO INDY TO CHANGE HIS LIFE. UNLESS U KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED U CAN KEEP YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS TO YOURSELF. I AM A FAMILY MEMBER, AND FOR ME TO READ THIS REALLY SADDENS ME. DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER. IT WAS A MUG SHOT THAT EVERYBODY IS MAKING THESE HARSH RUMARS ABOUT.BUT DID THAT MUG SHOT SAY HE WAS CONVICTED OF SELLING DRUGS.... NO,IT WAS INVASION OF PRIVACY, AND INTOXICATION. HOW U PEOPLE GOT TO SELLING DRUGS, AND STAY IN INDY IS JUST SHOWING YOUR STUPIDITY!!!!

- First and foremost, I want to say to all those who have made negative comments: regardless, he is still a man. he was a father, a son, an uncle, a cousin. To see such disrespect is sad. Not one of us here is perfect by any means to judge, call out someone for what you "THINK" may have happened or why and Indy man was in this area, none of us will know exactly. But REMEMBER THIS: this man has kids, they will find these articles about their father and see ALL OF YOUR NEGATIVE comments. How is that child going to feel? Think before you speak sometimes people. This man was in church-which may not mean much to alot since some church folks are just as bad, but never the less, he was not a druggie, he was not a dealer, and not a thug. This man had a job, kids to feed, went to church, and took care of his family the best way that he knew how. Judgement from humans is sad, you are not the Lord, you have to right to be so mean, accusing, judgmental, harsh, hateful. What if this was your family member, you brother, your uncle, your cousin, your father, grandfather, best friend. I know that we should be able to have freedom of speech, but where is the RESPECT, the HUMANITY, the COMPASSION, This man is dead at the hands of another, who had no value for human life. HE is the bad person here. But for the sake of his children I say this, REGARDLESS OF HOW SOMEONE LIVED, DIED, THEY ARE OWED RESPECT. A GOOD MAN HE WILL REMAIN IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE WHO TRULY KNEW HIM AND LOVED HIM. HE WILL BE WATCHING FROM HEAVEN AND SMILING UPON EACH OF YOU THAT HE LOVED. HE IS IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE AND AT PEACE WITH OUR FATHER.

- You know I think this is pretty disrespectful to the family of the deceased to put a mug shot as a picture of the victim. Yes I did say victim, he is dead and at the hands of another. I know the family would have gladly offered a better picture of him to show in the newspaper. But hey I am sure the your newspaper didn't even contact the family, because after all it sells right! Just because someone has been murdered in a certain neighborhood or for a certain reason, DOES NOT mean that humanity and respect need to also fall to the sidelines. I know that Portage is predominately a "white" community, but in such a case as this "death" or "murder" a "REPUTABLE" journalist would have more respect. This man has young children, in the age of internet, do you think they won't see this article. Just have more respect, compassion, and consideration next time.
